tonight's show

I feel bad, but tonight's show didn't happen.. It's a long story that can basically be attributed to the station doors still being locked. I was let in at 5:30PM and was unable to stay until 11PM... I was on the air tonight between 7PM and 8:30PM spinning rotation and mostly new stuff (new Arcade Fire, No Age, On Montreal, Holy Ghost, etc, etc), and after that point I realized I really needed to buy groceries or else I would starve for the rest of the week, and so I had to leave, knowing I would not be able to get back inside. I had a lot of music ready for Late Night Noise that I guess will have to wait until next week...

Thanks to Dave for finding some awesome shit to post here.. Keeping this blog alive means Late Night Noise will never die, even though our last live radio show was now 5 weeks ago. Great, now I'm bummed out.

Cosmic Hearse Does It Again!!!

go here and download this complete insanity. Its just so fucking ridiculously weird and awesome. I'm just listening to the first track. You'll go crazy.

you also may wanna check this out, but I haven't yet...so don't spoil it for me.

BORIS!!!!

I really want to see this band again before I die.

I will always remember the moment when, after they had filled up the Heirloom Arts Theater with fog, they hit the first note an all the fog moved away from the stage because of the sound.

srsly

P.S. Here's some "unsafe for work" Late night noise blog content... See how far you can make it through these 50 pics of topless Juggalettes chillin at this year's GOTJ... Personally, I was unable to make it past #20...

We might have a new 2G1C on our hands..

Andrew WK at Gathering of the Juggalos

In honor of last night's 3rd airing of our Andrew WK interview (for probably the last time ever) we found a special video for y'all...

This was my first viewing of a video from any Gathering of the Juggalos show.. it wasn't until traveling to the link itself that I realized this was posted in 2008, which means this didn't happen at this year's GOTJ, but rather it was probably 2 years ago.. this would make sense, since AWK just finished performing Warped Tour for the past 4 weeks.

The following video seems to confirm my suspicions.. It truly makes this look like the most piece of shit music festival of all time.. And after the recent news regarding Tila Tequila, I'm wondering if every performer aside from ICP ends up getting bottles and shit thrown at them. Many have suggested this was a huge trolling experiment... Who really knows.. Whether or not Andrew was sincere, I'd like to think he actually does respect ICP to an extent, or else he wouldn't have performed....

Still having station access issues... and plus I went to see Slayer tonight so I wouldn't have been there anyway. So for the third week in a row, it's time for an amazing rerun. I think we've almost completely run out of reruns...

Tila Tequila Attacked at Gathering

Yeah, I guess that she got a buncha bottles thrown at her by a buncha juggalos and stuff. The CNN article reads pretty hilariously.

Also some pics of her wounds from TMZ. Thanks sleazeballs.

Probably what I like most about this is its entry into the mainstream press, and the mainstream press' inability to process what was actually going on out there in "rural Hardin County, Illinois."

Pretty sweet.

oh and in case you forgot.

TONIGHTS SHOW = UFCKING HUGE OMG

Sadly, we're still locked out of the station doors... But no big deal. Tonight we'll be playing another amazing "Best Of Late Night Noise" rerun!! Guess how amazing it will be?? Just guess...

#1 We'll be indulging into a tribute to the now incarcerated Lindsay Lohan (and this was from a show 2 weeks ago.. and she's still in jail as far as I can tell. So this is still regarding current events. We win.)

#2 We'll also be playing an excerpt from an I-Doser track.. I-Doser creates frequencies which are supposed to simulate the effects of certain drugs (such as caffeine, marijuana, LSD, etc etc..) Most of these are 30+ minutes long.. and around 11:50PM we'll be playing an excerpt from "Gates Of Hades," which is supposed to make the listener feel like they're entering the gates of hell. I got a little freaked out while listening..

#3 We'll also be featuring our exceptionally amazing song of the week: The Katy Perry/Ke$ha mashup "California Gurls Tik Tok." Are they really the same song? We'll find out on tonight's show.. as well as take a listen to some of Kylie Minogue's "Love At First Sight," a pop song from 8 years ago which both songs seem to suspiciously resemble.

Here are the approximate times the songs will be played, in case anyone cares...
